Executive Summary: Our work on CAZ schemes is cutting edge and is setting a precedent for how cities address air pollution in years to come. As the London ULEZ shows, schemes of this nature can be not only accepted but popular. We believe a network of CAZ schemes across the UK could lead to a sea change in attitudes to schemes of this kind and pave the way for more cities to introduce such schemes- for example, Oxford is now implementing a Zero Emission Zone (electric only) for its city centre.
