Consultation of the Living Lakes: Your Local Plan

Submission Summary:

We succeeded in achieving a high consultation response (2,762 people equivalent to 7% of the resident population), with above average representation from young people, thanks to a strong social media campaign and easy to access digital content and a £1000 Lake District Pounds prize draw. Short videos and images of developments were used to engage people and show how planning policy delivers places and supports communities.

Engagement was tailored to identified target groups, and the webpages were developed to provide key topic information together with links to further information on other related topics – like Amazon shopping’s ‘people also bought’.
