Empowering residents to shape their areas: developing 15 Minute Neighbourhood Frameworks

Waltham Forest Council have been co-creating 15 Minute Neighbourhood Frameworks with residents for 5 parts of the borough, with the aim of creating a fairer and more equal 15-minute neighbourhoods
Our approach is innovative in three ways:

- We have facilitated a genuine engagement process. The Council have been creating opportunities for residents to take the lead, maximising social value and strengthening local pride.
- Engagement has been inclusive and intergenerational. We have sought opportunities to bring all voices to the table at all stages.
- We have produced a replicable model that can be tailored to different places’ individual needs and communities.
