The GNGB are working in a unique long-term partnership. Their joint working agreement states that all decisions are to be unanimous. The authorities sometimes have opposing priorities, they cover both urban and rural locations plus they have different political party controls. In a time of austerity their decision making is not easy, often requiring large financial commitment with risk. Despite this, they continue to work together pooling their shared skills and resources, leveraging additional funding, increasing delivery outcomes whilst continually planning for even bigger infrastructure schemes for the future.
