London Borough of Hounslow: Town Centre Vision Documents

The Visions are an example of successful co-creation of an overarching strategy enabling planning for town centres which work for and respond to community ambition and need.

The Visions demonstrate working collaboratively with communities, from initial scoping through to specific projects, can deliver meaningful and actionable plans for town centre regeneration. While such a process is neither short, easy or resource light, it provides a powerful tool to engage communities in planning for regeneration and revitalising their town centre, and enables council professionals to focus on the community’s ambitions for their town centres rather than assumptions imposed from above.
