NEW STREET SQUARE BRIDGES

WilkinsonEyre

The two New Street Square Bridges address in their design, the planning and installation challenges presented by the central London location. The inclusive concept of a three-way switchback ramp, combined with two flights of steps, creates continuity of floorspace between buildings and nurtures a more social and collaborative working environment.

The strength of monocoque construction enabled a solution that meets both the desire for a lightweight appearance, and the requirement for road clearance. Externally, the bridges provide visual coherence to the campus and an interesting new landmark for The City of London.
