 The 380-acre former Filton Airfield is one of the largest brownfield sites in the country. It is located less than 5 miles from the centre of Bristol, one of the UK’s most economically dynamic cities. It is sits on major road, rail and bus links and is well-connected to one of the UK’s best active travel networks.  Yet the original masterplan risked wasting a crucial strategic site: a low-density estate with limited public realm, no active centre and an unsustainable design that baked in car dependency.  YTL Developments has achieved resolution to planning consent to transform this landmark into Brabazon, a thriving new high-density, mixed-use new neighbourhood.
