Executive summary from entrant:

The vision for Crown Wharf was to respond to one of London’s current challenges, the optimisation of accessible brownfield land. The site was allocated for non-designated industrial land, with a history of 3 failed attempts by other developers for residential and mixed-use development in 2004 (768 units), 2009 (758 units), 2010 (679 units). Barratt London secured full planning permission in 2024 for 871 homes, with over 2,600 sqm of new retail and leisure space.  With this permission, Barratt London will bring the Lea Riverside back to life, providing a broad range of socio-economic benefits to new residents and existing locals.
