Executive summary from entrant:

The proposals have brought back into viable use and secured the future of a nationally important complex of listed buildings within a village conservation area, at the heart of the Kent Downs National Landscape. The former college site comprises Grade I and II Listed buildings, as well as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and had been in an advanced state of disrepair, following closure of the college in 2009. The redevelopment provides 40 new homes, together with refurbishment of/public access to a number of key heritage assets within the site. The proposals also provide an improved Heritage Centre for the village.
