Gwel Basset Phase 1, a Redruth development by Treveth, reached completion in August 2025. All 185 sustainable new build homes (one-four bedrooms) have been made available to those who live, work in or have family connections in the area. Tenures include 45% private rental, 15% open market sale, 14% affordable rent and 6% shared ownership. 35 homes were provided to Cornwall Council for affordable rent and shared ownership properties. Gwel Basset is a major investment in the housing and economic prosperity for Redruth. Local suppliers were used throughout construction and energy-efficient homes have been built with climate resilience in mind.
