A flagship project within the wider Ebbsfleet Garden City development, Harbour Village is transforming a disused brownfield site in the most deprived neighbourhood in Gravesham into an attractive and sustainable new riverside community. Overcoming significant challenges posed by the steep gradient of this complex site, Bellway is delivering 634 energy-efficient homes, community facilities and public open space on the former Northfleet Cement Works, reconnecting Northfleet’s existing community with the River Thames. The development is also creating over 100 jobs, providing £3.1 million of funding for local infrastructure, and fostering links with local colleges to support young people considering careers in construction.
