The project comprises the careful repair of historic buildings, combined with new, contemporary additions, to provide a new life and purpose for these previously neglected, characterful buildings. Kresen Kernow provides a valuable resource for the local community, that can be readily accessed and enjoyed by visitors from Cornwall and beyond.

The design of the building challenges the concept of an archive, by providing a new degree of public accessibility and interactivity, whilst acting as a catalyst for further development and investment in the town and surrounding area, which will bring further benefits to the local community.
