 The new Simplified Planning Zone (SPZ) for the Slough Trading Estate is a unique planning permission spanning a ten-year period granting planning permission in advance for certain uses covering 162 hectares. It will play an important role in Slough’s economic success, by attracting and retaining investment in the town, funding local services, supporting business growth and creating jobs for local people. The scale of the site, the ambition to optimise the level of development on this long-standing brownfield site meant that agreeing this on such a scheme between SEGRO and Slough Borough Council (the parties) was a substantial achievement.
