Set within Arne Jacobsen's original college campus, this is a multi-faceted project which anchors the graduate student community: first, an extension to existing accommodation pavilions, and second, a new standalone Graduate Centre. It deserves an award because:

- Constrained in the green belt and flood zone

- Design enhances and preserves historic setting, by reflecting the articulation of the existing buildings' forms and functions

- Flexible twenty-first century study and social spaces for students

- Fully accessible design

- Maximises development potential of constrained site
