The Earls Court masterplan demonstrates design excellence through an unusually collaborative, design-led process that places community and stakeholder insight at its core. High-quality design was shaped iteratively through early masterplan workshops, over 20 Design Review Panels, more than 200 pre-application meetings, extensive community engagement and a dedicated Public Realm Inclusivity Panel. This process fundamentally informed the masterplan’s principles, spatial structure and Design Code. The result is a future-facing framework that reconnects neighbourhoods, embeds inclusivity and climate resilience, and secures design quality over decades. Earls Court sets a new benchmark for community-shaped, long-term urban placemaking.
