Situated on the Narrow Way is Ryan’s fruit sculpture which serves as a tactile intervention at the heart of community life in the borough. Warm Shores by Price is a pair of monumental figures that stand proudly outside Hackney Town Hall. Its subject has now become a major cultural issue across the world: asking how power is transmitted through sculpture and how diverse people in society are represented in our streets and squares. Both artworks animate public spaces by themselves, being part of the living crowd; amongst an active celebration being carried everywhere via social media from generation to generation.
